Transcender Introduces New Test Engine that Allows Customers to Define Their Optimal Learning Process

Atlanta, GA - Transcender, a Kaplan Professional company and the leader in exam simulation software for IT certification tests, today announced that it has introduced a new streamlined test engine that gives customers increased flexibility and customization in how they use award-winning TranscenderCert practice exams.

"This innovative new test engine allows students to customize the practice exam environment to fit their study needs," said Chip Schuneman, President of Transcender. "Now our customers can be even more efficient and productive with their study time by targeting their areas for improvement."

Transcender's new test engine offers customers the choice between two different study modes. The "Optimize Exam Experience" mode allows users to configure practice tests to suit their individual study needs. In this mode, individuals can personalize their testing experience with six different controls, set learning preferences, and determine how answers are accessed. The "Preset Exam Experience" mode provides users with a timed practice test that accurately simulates the real test
environment. Individuals can use the "Preset Exam Experience" to determine their readiness for the actual certification exam.

Transcender's new test engine also has the ability to adapt and adjust to the individual test taker's knowledge. A new "Item Optimizer" feature is designed to help individuals focus on their weak areas. If an item is answered correctly twice, the test engine will remove it from the question pool so that test candidates do not have to spend time studying material they already know.

Customers will also save time and space on their hard drives with the new test engine, which requires only one download and installation regardless of the number of products purchased. Customers who purchase multiple products will now be shipped only one CD that features all exam titles, but will receive system keys to activate only the products they have purchased.

Transcender was chosen "Best Exam Preparation Product or Service" by Redmond Magazine readers for 2005. Additionally, in 2004, Transcender was selected as "Best Practice Exam" by readers of CertCities.com for the third consecutive year.
